What ingredients do I need for these frozen chocolate covered banana popsicles?

These banana pops require just 2 main ingredients (bananas and dark chocolate), but I think they’re more fun with toppings on top! The ingredients you’ll need (plus several topping ideas) are listed below.

  • 3 ripe, but firm bananas
  • dark chocolate chips
  • toppings (sprinkles, mini white chocolate chips, crushed nuts)
  • 6 wooden popsicle sticks

Where can I find dairy free chocolate chips?

Enjoy Life Foods offers dairy free chocolate chips (white, dark, and semi-sweet). I used their dark and white chocolate chips for this recipe! These chocolate chips are free from 14 common allergens, including dairy.

How do I store these frozen chocolate covered banana popsicles?

You’ll want to store these frozen chocolate covered banana popsicles in the freezer. I like to store them in a sealed container for up to a week. You could probably store them for longer than that, but mine never last that long!

  • 3 ripe, but firm bananas
  • 4.5oz (3/4 cup) dark chocolate chips
  • 6 wooden popsicle sticks

Instructions

  1. Peel 3 bananas and slice them each in half. Insert a popsicle stick into each banana half.
  2. Pour the dark chocolate chips into a microwave safe dish and microwave until melted, stirring occasionally to avoid burning the chocolate.
  3. Dip each banana pop into the melted chocolate, using a spoon to scrape off excess chocolate (or drizzle on additional melted chocolate as needed).
  4. Roll each banana pop in toppings of choice (or simply sprinkle toppings over the chocolate covered popsicles).
  5. Place banana pops on a tray lined with parchment paper and place in the  freezer until the bananas are frozen, about 2-3 hours.
  6. Remove banana pops from the freezer once frozen and enjoy!
