These banana pops require just 2 main ingredients (bananas and dark chocolate), but I think they’re more fun with toppings on top! The ingredients you’ll need (plus several topping ideas) are listed below.

  • 3 ripe, but firm bananas
  • dark chocolate chips
  • toppings (sprinkles, mini white chocolate chips, crushed nuts)
  • 6 wooden popsicle sticks

You’ll want to store these frozen chocolate covered banana popsicles in the freezer. I like to store them in a sealed container for up to a week. You could probably store them for longer than that, but mine never last that long!

Frozen Chocolate Covered Banana Popsicles

Servings 6
Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 2 hours

Ingredients

For the Banana Pops

  • 3 ripe, but firm bananas
  • 3/4 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 6 wooden popsicle sticks

Toppings

  • crushed nuts
  • mini white chocolate chips
  • allergy friendly sprinkles

Instructions

  • Peel 3 bananas and slice them each in half. Insert a popsicle stick into each banana half.
  • Pour the dark chocolate chips into a microwave safe dish and microwave until melted, stirring occasionally to avoid burning the chocolate.
  • Dip each banana pop into the melted chocolate, using a spoon to scrape off excess chocolate (or drizzle on additional melted chocolate as needed).
  • Roll each banana pop in toppings of choice (or simply sprinkle toppings over the chocolate covered popsicles).
  • Place banana pops on a tray lined with parchment paper and place in the  freezer until the bananas are frozen, about 2-3 hours.
  • Remove banana pops from the freezer once frozen and enjoy!
